Your personal brand impacts your leadership style, the team or organization you lead, and ultimately how you choose to live your life. Personal Branding is often thought of nowadays as a way of describing self-packaging – in other words the way in which people market and promote themselves to the outside world. Your personal brand is within your control and can be carefully shaped and crafted according to your guiding principles.
When you become aware of what you stand for, you start to create a management and leadership style that is completely unique and authentic, then you can look at how to package it up and put it out there.
First, we will define what a personal brand is and what its major elements are. Every individual has own priorities and objectives in regards to developing her/his personal brand. We will also explore how to define the wow factors a unique personal value proposition and what success means.
Next, participants will complete an assessment to help them define their brand style. The assessment will describe your current self-perception and self-confidence in your personal brand.
First impression can have a big impact on a personal brand. In this session, participants will learn how to dress for success, show proper etiquette, and monitor their voice. The session covers the rather easy basics of developing your personal brand.
This part of the training will help participants develop and improve skill at concentrating, getting work done, and building their confidence.
If participants really don’t have a good understanding of what they actually want, it’s hard to represent their brand and have the desired impact. In this session, participants will use the SPIRIT framework to set some brand-related goals. Techniques for developing flexibility and resiliency will also be discussed.
This session will give participants some ways to use networking skills to build their brand.
Good communication skills are another important part of personal impact. This session will explore speaker and listener biases, active listening skills, and difficult communication situations.
Credibility can make or break a brand. This session will give participants five ways to develop trusting relationships.
In this session, participants will learn about the different elements of a personal brand. They will also start designing and outlining their brand standards.
Next, participants will discover ways to demonstrate their brand in interactive role plays and presentations.
In this session, participants will learn how to manage and set up their social media accounts to be more visible.
This session will share persuasion, negotiation, and negation techniques to help participants have real impact.
In order to have a real impact, we must be able to work with all types of people. This session will give participants a framework to get to the heart of any problem. They will also learn some strategies for handling common types of difficult people.
In this session, participants will have the opportunity to be exposed to the basics of Media training and learn how to make the most of public speaking and meetings.
